Veterans Foundation of America to Host Free Veterans Health Fair & Luncheon Aboard the Battleship New Jersey
Sponsored by Braven Health
Camden, NJ — October 26, 2025 — The Veterans Foundation of America (VFA) is proud to announce its upcoming Veterans Health Fair & Luncheon, generously sponsored by Braven Health. The event will be held on Sunday, October 26, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM aboard the historic Battleship New Jersey in Camden, NJ.
This free, community-centered event is dedicated to honoring those who have served by connecting veterans and their families to no-cost health screenings, wellness services, and a complimentary luncheon in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Comprehensive Health Screenings & Veteran Support
Veterans and their families will have access to an extensive range of health screenings and wellness services, including:
This event will also offer access and information regarding early detection cancer screening for over 20 types of cancer through the groundbreaking Dana–Farber Cancer Institute SENTINEL clinical trial. This research focuses on early detection in high-risk military veterans — many of whom face elevated cancer risks due to toxic exposures and service-related factors.
“At Veterans Foundation of America, we believe that honoring veterans starts with action — and health is a critical part of that equation,” said Colonel (Ret.) Jeff Cantor, Founder of the VFA. “This event is not just about health care access, it’s about community, gratitude, and proactive wellness for those who served.”
Leaders Standing with Veterans
“Our veterans have sacrificed so much for our country, and it is our responsibility to ensure they receive the care, support, and respect they’ve earned,” said Nilsa Cruz-Perez, New Jersey State Senator. “This Health Fair represents exactly the kind of community action that strengthens the bond between our state and those who defended it.”
“As a Gold Star Mother, I know firsthand the meaning of service and sacrifice,” said Melinda Kane, New Jersey Assemblywoman. “This event is about more than screenings — it’s about showing up for our veterans, ensuring they have access to life-saving care, and honoring their continued contributions to our communities.”
A Partnership for Veteran Wellness
This Veterans Health Fair is made possible through the generosity of Braven Health, with additional support from Virtua Health, as well as Cooper University Health, and Deborah Heart and Lung Center under their HeroCare Connect program — organizations committed to improving health outcomes for New Jersey’s veteran community.
A complimentary luncheon will be provided by Red White & Que Smokehouse, a proudly veteran-owned business, creating a warm and meaningful space for camaraderie and connection.
This event is conducted in collaboration with community leaders and partners who share a commitment to supporting those who wore the uniform.
